Matt Hulett: My name is Matt Hewlett, the CEO of PetMed Express.
What was the outcome of your Shortlist?
Matt Hulett: Rockstar Recruiting, in my opinion, is the competitive edge that you really need for talent acquisition. And I didn't even know it existed until they were used to recruit me for a CEO role. Recently, Rockstar is really literally a gamechanger in talent acquisition. Their service is the model for how recruiting should be done in the future, especially in today's tight labor market. Rockstar finds highly-qualified candidates fast, efficiently and affordably. So I cannot not recommend them enough. They are a fantastic firm to work with.
What do you love most about Shortlist?
Matt Hulett: I love the fact that I get candidates that I get to pick from that are passive but are warmed up & sent to me very quickly. I get to decide who I want to talk to & I get to control the process. And the price is right. So I'm spending my time more efficiently. I'm finding the right candidates and it's on my own terms. So I really think it's an awesome model.
Would you recommend Shortlist to others? Why?
Matt Hulett: Well, as I said before on this recording, you get a fast, efficient and affordable service on your own terms. There's not another service like this. I don't like paying executive recruiters for candidates, an exorbitant amount of money, and they may not actually be the right candidate after a year. So in my mind, everyone gets the right value trade off. You get a great candidate fast. Rockstars does that for you, and you inevitably find the talent that you want on your own terms.
