Video Transcript

My name's Chris Mapp. I'm Gemma Downing and we're from Mixxos. Well, firstly, this is our first year at RECLive. Today's been an awesome event to have so many industry leaders in one room. Lots of thought provoking topics, really good energy to have everyone you know, in this uh location, so many people. It's, yeah, it's just been a really good event. I really enjoyed the panel where Brad Shackleton was part of it, I think for us it just reinforced lots of things that we already think in terms of business development and the most important thing really is just not being afraid to get out there and not making excuses. Being in person is absolutely everything we host loads of events ourselves, don't we? And it's all about the connectivity, the networking, the human to human contact. The AI piece was really insightful as well. Priya was unreal. I went to an AI event myself last week and honestly having a bunch of professors talk at me, [gestures] I went home and my head had a heartbeat. So today it was really nice, engaging, animated and actually made me and Chris walk away believing that human touch will still always be necessary in recruitment. I really liked, I really liked watching Pellegrino. I think he made a really serious topic quite personable, you know, he was humorous at times as well. So yeah, the, the last keynote by Pellegrino was really good too. Absolutely not because we don't want them to get all of the knowledge. So we want to keep all of the knowledge, all of the you know, the information, the brilliant stuff that was put out by all of the other keynotes. We just want to keep it for us. So if you want to learn loads and get loads of industry insights and learn from the best...[gestures, shakes head]. You know what, What I love is that all too often in the world of recruitment, people are like that [gestures] when they know something good, when they're on to something good. And the fact that you can be in a room full of 200 plus people and everybody is sharing ideas, successes, the highs and the lows I think it is really well put together. It is really well orchestrated today and we look forward to the next one. Really don't we? Yeah. No, I mean, I was only joking, I think it is really important because when you think about the industry as a whole, it's been touched upon, this subject today that, you know, it is, it's sometimes frowned upon as an industry. So the way that we're going to improve the standards and improve the reputation is by having the best companies in the room, sharing best practices and everyone can grow together. Touching on what Gemma said, I think a lot of people in, in our industry like to ring fence, not share what they're doing, not share best practices. So to have a, a room full of 250 recruiters, you know, and industry leaders, you know, it's been a really good day. Good energy. Yes. All round. I'd highly recommend it.
