What was problem you were trying to solve?

Anouk Fechner: When I joined Celonis, almost six years ago, referrals were actually one of our most important sources. Around 35% of our candidates were referred by our own employees. And I guess as TA professionals, we all know the benefits of that. Over the years, unfortunately, we didn't really pay a lot of attention to the referral program and we dropped quite a bit in our score. So, we were on the search for a vendor to support us to relaunch the referral program and help us to get our score back out.

How did you use Real Links to create a solution?

Anouk Fechner: From day one on, we had a super close collaboration with Real Links. We discussed a lot of what our problems were, what we wanted to improve and turns out our main problem was definitely the engagement piece. So our referral program back then wasn't really exciting, it wasn't really encouraging participation. So in our case and Celonis' case, we actually focused a lot on the Gamification part of the platform and really tried to build a program together which yeah, excites Yeah, really triggers their competitiveness and really make sure that yeah, people are actually participating.

What were the results and how was the experience for the business, your team and the employee group?

Anouk Fechner: After we created a lot of noise and buzz around the new program, we saw amazing results. Only in a couple of months, we were able to increase the referral rate from 9% to actually 33% which for me personally was mind blowing. On top of that, we also saw a whole shift and change in behavior through the Gamification and the opportunity to collect tokens and points. They yeah, began to enjoy the program more and more and also had a lot of fun while referring.
