Victoria Hawkins: Hi, I'm Victoria Hawkins and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Licensed Specialist Clinical Social Worker, and I provide mental health clinician services and community mental health. I have been with the innovaTel for almost two years now.
What advice would you give to a fellow mental health provider?
Victoria Hawkins: The advice that I would give to fellow mental health providers is simply to be humble and vulnerable enough to be a constant learner. I believe we are never too experienced in this field that we cannot learn something new. So collaborate with colleagues, take trainings to increase your skills, read what the current research is, and get involved in advocacy groups and community-based programs towards improving our mental healthcare field.
Why did you choose to work with innovaTel?
Victoria Hawkins: I chose to work with innovaTel because I saw that through telehealth, I would be able to meet the needs of underserved communities, such as community mental health centers. I also could tell that the support structure of innovaTel could provide me with the resources and encouragement that I desired as a clinician. And I have loved to have that encouragement and backing from my team leads as well as other colleagues in the field.
