Jarrod Orange: They made it a lot of fun.

What’s your favorite part about Pursue Cyber?

Jarrod Orange: Had many favorite parts about pursue cyber and the cohort that I was in. Um, the two most notable that come to mind right now are the free resources Dennis provided, um, for example, hack the box and try hack me. Um, and things like that that are going to be very helpful for me to develop my skills in my future career, cybersecurity. The other one is the news resources that Dennis Dennis provided, um, real world industry updates such as Cyberwire Daily and the like to help us get an idea of where we're at in the cybersecurity landscape.

What would you tell other students considering Pursue Cyber?

Jarrod Orange: To other students considering pursue cyber, I would say dive in and don't be nervous. Dennis and crew, they're very fun. They are able to deliver the material in a concise and digestible manner. They made it a lot of fun. I got to meet a lot of really cool people from the industry and my fellow cohort graduates were able to provide additional knowledge and perspectives I never considered. And it's a lot of fun. You'll meet a lot of good people and make a lot of great connections.

What makes Pursue Cyber unique?

Jarrod Orange: I would say what makes Pursue cyber unique is the instruction and the instructors that give it. Collier and Dennis both were very knowledgeable. They were able to deliver unique perspectives in a very informative way. There was a lot of information that Dennis was able to cover in a very short amount of time. Uh, which I was initially nervous about. I figured I, I, it was a lot of material, but we covered it and it did not seem like we were overdoing or cramming or going too fast. I absorbed everything, uh, the best possible way I could absorb it, and, you know, Dennis provided a lot of knowledge, and he's got a lot of industry connections too, so I was able to learn from a lot of different people. Um, so. The instruction and the instructors, that's what makes Pursue Cyber unique.

In what ways do you feel your participation in the cohort has or will benefit you professionally.

Jarrod Orange: The pursue cyber cohort, I feel will benefit me professionally. Uh, the first manner being networking. I've been able to connect with industry insiders and leaders and learn from them and absorb some of the knowledge that they've been able to offer. And then the most beneficial thing would probably be the knowledge that I learned in the cohort from Dennis and company. He was able to deliver all of the information in a very concise and exciting manner, and I highly recommend anyone to consider pursue cyber. The program is amazing.
