? What's your nursing superpower? ?‍♀️??#NurseHero

Kelsea Mensh: Hi, my name is Kelsey. I'm a nurse from Fairfax, Virginia. And my nursing superpower is that I'm an oncology nurse and oncology. Nurses are awesome at Symptom management. We are good at problem solving and developing a plan for that's catered to the individual patient or client. So, in pure drop, we're able to use those skills from oncology. Nursing also finding those sneaky veins that love to hide from us. That's another thing. Oncology nurses are good at, but it's really fun being able to develop a bag of IV hydration therapy that's catered to the, the individual and their needs, treating symptoms such as nausea, upset stomach muscle cramps, lack of energy. It's fun getting to give that bag of fluids and vitamins and see the, the person actually feel better and perk up afterwards because it's catered to their needs. So that's one thing that I love about working for PureDrop.

? Any standout experiences you've had with a PureDropIV client? ??‍⚕️ #IVMDT

Kelsea Mensh: A moment that stood out to me during my time at PureDropIV was a time when I went to a client's house who was suffering from hyperemesis during pregnancy and she was in bed all day suffering from nausea, vomiting just felt terrible. And we were able to provide her with a bag of normal saline and we watched her perk up and feel a little bit back to her normal self again. So it was really fun getting to do something that's so small that makes such a big difference.

?What lights you up about being a Mobile Drip Team RN @ PureDropIV? ? ?? #MDTRN

Kelsea Mensh: What lights me up as a PureDropIV. nurse is when you go to a client, maybe it's their first time getting IV therapy and they're a little bit nervous. They're not feeling too hot because they've been throwing up all night or they have some type of sickness going around and they just don't feel like themselves and you're able to ease their anxieties about the needle. You get the IV and you start getting the, getting the IV hydration into them and they already look better. The, the color is coming back. They're feeling more perked up and with more energy and you're able to work with them to come up with a catered IV hydration therapy plan. And it's really fun getting to see them perk up and start to feel a little bit better right away and say, ok, this wasn't that bad. I'm feeling better already and they're able to go back to their normal life. So it's really rewarding getting to see patients feel better right away.
