What were some of your biggest challenges before implementing PublicSchoolWORKS?
Anthony Nugeness: Some of our biggest challenges before implementing PublicSchoolWORKS was a lot of one consistency in our letters, and what we're communicating to parents, they allow us to formulate one simple letter that looked exactly the same for whether it be a positive or negative behavior, just identifying, you know, what we were sending home. The other thing would be that the data piece to it. It's much more specific data in detail on areas of discipline or kind of discipline consequences where the referrals are coming from, all sorts of easy at your fingertips, quick to access knowledge, data wise.
What is the biggest change or improvement you've seen since implementing PublicSchoolWORKS?
Anthony Nugeness: One of the biggest improvements that we've seen since administering it is just the easiest, it's the easiest way we've ever had to get to the data that we want to look at. Again for consistencies and consistencies or what hot areas for discipline, things like that. Also student improvement, and looking at fluctuations from students and specific students and discipline. Also, it's been a great way to track our positive behaviors towards our PBIS stats. A couple of the other things are the documentation report piece has allowed teachers to be able to easily put information in and can communicate with my ability to look at that as an assistant principal before meeting with a parent. And explain things such as communication attempts home or other consequences given to try to inform them of the steps we've taken before. Whether it be a major consequence or you know, an office, excuse me, related consequence happens.
What is your favorite feature of PublicSchoolWORKS' offerings?
Anthony Nugeness: I think the favorite feature, the best feature that they have is the ability for us to have everything formulated to our needs for them to go into their basis system and, and add certain things. Like we were a leader in me school and wanted to track our positive behaviors with the habits and they were able to throw that in there real quick from our initial meeting. So their ability to be flexible for us and meet our needs is probably the best feature and then again, the easy access to everything and how easy it is for not only staff and myself to get in, but us to find trends and things like that through their data process.
How is PublicSchoolWORKS different from other similar products or services?
Anthony Nugeness: The difference is that more hands on or easy access approach when needing help and assistance with anything. I think they have like, although they're, in, you know, multiple districts, lots of districts that it seems like they're just really working with you. So, I think that's probably one of the biggest differences that and then, again, the ease of operation and consistency in what we're getting from them. I know that, you know, that consistency word keeps coming into play, but that's really kind of the, the big wringer for me is that it's really easy and, and simplistic for us to get to everything we need. And then their ability to help us has, has been the same since we started.
