Hi, my name is Karen Pritchard. And my first baby was a Nicu baby. We spent the first nine days of his life in the Nicu uh for the first three days I couldn't hold him. I had to just kind of look at him and the incubator because his lungs weren't fully developed yet. And at that time you couldn't have told me that things were gonna get better, that it was gonna be okay. I was totally distraught, but the nurses that were there and you know, the doctors and everything, they were just absolutely wonderful and I wouldn't have made it through without them. And my son is now 12 years old. He's a normal kid, he runs around, he he's great, he really is and you know, so if you're going through it and your baby is in the nicu right now, I'm here to tell you that it does get better. Um they get better and you make it through so good luck to you if you're going through it right now and just know that you are absolutely not alone.
