Speaker: Sandro Beruashvili , Tbilisi, Georgia
How (and why) are you taking action on climate change solutions in, for, and with your community?
Sandro Beruashvili : Hello everyone. My name is Sandra. I'm 16 years old. I'm from Georgia and this is my story last summer on October 3rd, a landslide occurred in Russia as a result of five geological and meteorological processes, specifically the collapse of the rock, a village and the collision of glacial parts. All of this is the fault of climate changes, disaster had fatal consequences. Many people also lost their homes. The tragedy motivated me to know more about how climate change works. My goal is not only to know about climate changes for myself but to spread the information in the community because people do things which affect the planet badly without even realizing it. So my solution is the following. Everyone must know how the climate change works and what causes it. This will this way. Many people will start acting different and step by step. We will be able to stop disasters such as landslides, avalanches, and et cetera. Thank you for your time and have a nice day.
Who or what inspires/inspired you to care about climate change and climate solutions?
Sandro Beruashvili : Hello, everyone. I'm Sandra. I'm 16 years old. I live in Georgia and this is my story. The first person that got me interested into climate changes was my school principal. One day when I was in the fifth grade, she offered us to plant some trees. Of course, we students accepted it. It was an amazing experience. Imagine being in the fifth grade and already thinking about your planet's health. That time, I thought that that would be my goal to take care of the planet and live as healthy as possible. Thank you for your time and have a nice day.
