How (and why) are you taking action on climate change solutions in, for, and with your community?
Puneet Singh Singhal: Hello. Uh I'm I'm Punit from New Delhi, India. I'm a disability rights activist working at the intersection of how uh disabled people are being affected by uh climate change uh all over the world. So basically, uh we are sharing stories and how uh we can build a better infrastructure and society as a whole uh for uh persons with disabilities as we are the most vulnerable community when it comes to climate change. And we are the, we are the largest minority of the world and still we are being marginalized and uh not being heard. So I, I want the disability community to be the part of the solution to be the part of climate conversation. Thank you.
Who or what inspires/inspired you to care about climate change and climate solutions?
Puneet Singh Singhal: Hello, I'm I'm Tunis from New Delhi, India. And uh talking about uh how I started uh you know, uh working at the intersection of climate change and disciplinary rights. So I must say that, you know, it is a very personal choice and I was forced to um uh advocate for uh inclusion of uh persons with disability in the climate conation aspect. Uh because, you know, I belong to New Delhi, which is the most polluted uh uh city of the world. And uh last few years, many years uh due to, you know, the extreme air pollution, uh uh severe heat waves and, you know, the lack of clean drinking water, all of these things, you know, climate change urbanization has, has made me uh uh try to reflect and try to, you know, has made me take actions in, in, in this direction. So it's very personal. But now I am also trying to help uh and uh trying to, you know, uh uh start a movement around it uh so that uh our global, our broad uh disability community can become part of it and we deserve um a table uh uh in, in, at the, at, at, at the Climate Convention part.
