How (and why) are you taking action on climate change solutions in, for, and with your community?
Farial Orion: Hello everyone. Asla Male. I am Florian from Bangladesh. I am Edison, graduate of chemical engineering. I am an enthusiastic researcher and NGO work during my working period in different NGO I facilitated more than 50 program. So our oil and campaign focuses on the climate change is better, how we can get rid of the heat wave and how we can treat waste water and also utilize all types of waste. During my working period of different NGO, we collaborated with more than 25 universities and we planted more than 3000 plants. So our focus is planted more than one lakh trees. Also during hot period of Bangladesh, we also tried to donate the water and food to the street worker like Ricksha, Pula, traffic police and other members. I am also regularly participating in case study competition focusing on the NL system for as a chemical engineer. I not only limited myself in creating oil and facilitated the oil. I also wanted to do the practical system, how we can solve this problem. So I started working on the how we can implant hydrogen in our country. I also work working with the Bangladesh Central Central scientific engineered for creating this uh ecofriendly energy system. Also, I am creating a novel project on creating awareness on the microplastic and how we can reduce the pollution of microplastic and how we can reduce the amount of microplastic in store in water body. So our next plan is creating awareness on the uh microplastic and get and proposing the impactful solution of it. I also continue my work on the system. So through this campaign cohort, I am I will learn more about how energy, how we can save the world and how we can do the better for the climate.
Who or what inspires/inspired you to care about climate change and climate solutions?
Farial Orion: The major issue of climate change is temperature rising. As a seven year old of me was astonished to learn about if temperature will rise in that high rate, then Bangladesh will be down due to the melting of the eyes of South Pole and North Pole. Then where will we go? What will do the 12 of people of Bangladesh? So as a seven year old, we always want to know how we can fight with this problem because I have no solution. So we grow up and I started learning chemical engineering and I suddenly watched a video of Anush Kumari who is a famous Indian uh youtuber who do videos on the ecofriendly product. How we can solve this climate change problem, how we can do small small thing in our day to day life and solve this problem, how we can reduce the use of the sc by using the handicap model of uh manmade housing and how we can transform the plastic pollution to the plastic utilization for ecofriendly bee. Also, he give us quick solution of how we can do small thing to improve the system. And and my mother also inspired me to utilize the waste of the house in as a fertilizer. And we also use the solar panel and other solar panel and other ecofriendly products. So I give my all credit to the my mother and the Anus Kumari for inspiring me and and guy and give me hope at the chemical engineering. I can do small, small thing to solve problem like energy system. I can bring, I can research on the hydrogen and and the importance of increasing the use of ecofriendly products. I can do it as a chemical engineering and energy worker. So I want to thank my mother and Anus Kumari on this.
