Speaker: John, Connecticut, USA
How (and why) are you taking action on climate change solutions in, for, and with your community?
John: My name is John. I live in Connecticut. My interest in climate change came a long time ago, I grew up in Colorado and Wyoming. Where are nature in our playground was the backdrop of the, the rocky mountains. My father was very interested in preserving the unspoiled nature that we all enjoyed. We would often pick up litter and he later became interested in preserving open space and restricting it from development. Now that I live here in the East, my solutions here are to reuse and recycle plastic to try and use glass containers more than plastic to plant trees as they are a wonderful bio uh and carbon sink. And to use uh bamboo. I planted bamboo um as it spreads well and is a good carbon sink as well. The preservation of our open spaces and our land is critical to our very well being and I'm committed to preserving this for myself and for my Children. Thank you for listening.
