Speaker: Maggie Bean
Maggie Bean: Hey there. I'm Maggie Bean. I am a Product Marketing Manager and I'm also a podcast host and co creator of the new content initiative, product marketing therapy.
What are the top 3 sessions at Product Marketing Summit Austin you are most looking forward to?
Maggie Bean: The sessions that I'm most excited for this year at the Austin summit are reimagining PMM with generative AI I think that's a super hot topic. So really excited for that. Um Also the voice of the customer panel, excited to dive deeper there. And then third, the lessons from teambuilding session um on the second day. So lots of great things to look forward to on this agenda. But those are three that I'm really looking forward to along with being able to make connections with all these great product marketers, both who I've made connections with already online and meeting so many new people as well.
What is your best piece of product marketing advice?
Maggie Bean: My biggest piece of advice, especially for New PMMs. is to think of mentorship and networking, not like one person uh but a constellation of people that you will meet and learn from. And I think it's really important to make connections both with peers in your space and also people who are a few years farther along than you. And I think that's honestly the the most I've learned from product marketing has both been in my role but also learning from other people's experiences just because I think product marketing is so different in every company. Uh So, so yeah, I think that that's really important as well as it can serve as, you know, external support when you're going through challenges in your own role, being able to call people up and say, hey, I'm running into this. Like, can you, can you help me um outside of your company? I think it's been really helpful um in my own role and growth as a product marketer. So yes, mentorship can take lots of different forms and think of it as a constellation of people in a professional support system.
