Ronke Majekodunmi: Hello everyone. I'm Ronke Majekodunmi Senior Product Manager at Paypal. For most of my career I've worked in Fintech. I've helped to build B2B and B2C platform in the fintech industry, and I am super excited to not only be a keynote speaker but to participate on a panel, Product-Led Conference in Vegas.
What will you be discussing at the upcoming Product-Led Festival?
Ronke Majekodunmi: I am looking forward to joining everybody in Vegas. I am a keynote speaker and I will be talking about empathy-driven leadership. The importance of having empathy, not just customer empathy. Obviously we start with that because we know that the only way we're going to build great products is to have utility and delight. How do we get delight? empathy! So how do we really tap into that customer? empathy I will be talking about that? But also our cross-functional partners. It's so important that we have the empathy for them as well. And I look forward to sharing my tips on that. In addition, I will be participating on a panel about building a culture of innovation within our organization and the importance of that. I am so excited to talk about that topic as well because as we all know we need to build not just for today products for tomorrow that will change our customer's lives and, how do we do that? We need to build a culture of innovation within our cross-functional teams. So I'm so excited and I look forward to joining you all
What nugget of wisdom are you hoping to leave attendees with after your talk?
Ronke Majekodunmi: The nugget of wisdom I hope to leave all of you with is empathy. It is so important, especially in the last three years with the covid pandemic empathy is even more important, not just for our customers but even for our cross functional partners, our leadership, ourselves. We need to just have empathy with empathy. We can move together and of course innovation. Without innovation We can't build products to change our customers lives. And how do we do that? We do that with empathy. We do that. With providing a safe space for our teams so that they can bring their best selves to work. And they can also disrupt the status quo.
Which other sessions are you looking forward to attending at the festival?
Ronke Majekodunmi: I'm looking forward actually to all the other sessions when I'm not presenting, I'm gonna be attending all the other sessions of being in Vegas. But one of the ones I'm looking forward to is Jarod Greene herding cats. I've always thought the role of a product manager is also herding cats, so I'm really curious to see what he does with that presentation.
