Vishal Kapoor: Hi, my name is Vishal and I'm a Senior Director of Product at Shipt Shipt is a delivery marketplace owned by Target with three sides, the customers, the stores and the shoppers or the drivers who do the actual fulfillment. I'm on the third side of the business and the products and teams that I own help manage and run a significant part of our PNM and a large portion of our business.
What will you be discussing at Product-Led Summit San Francsico?
Vishal Kapoor: I'm very excited to deliver the opening keynote at the upcoming Product-Led Summit in San Francisco. The title of my talk is 'Winning is a byproduct - how to build great products and a great career.' And I plan to discuss things that I've used in my own professional life to initially become an excellent individual contributor and now a good leader and executive and to build great teams, great companies and create great products, impacting millions of users as an outcome. The talk will be full of anecdotes from my own professional life as well as from stories from technology leaders in and around our industry. It will be very inspiring and scintillating and I hope to see you there.
What nugget of wisdom are you hoping to leave attendees with after your talk?
Vishal Kapoor: At the end of the talk, you will walk away with two Big Nuggets. The first is, you'll hear about 10 growth areas that you can focus on to become an excellent individual contributor or grow as a leader and executive. And in the second part, you will hear how I from my own career as well as other technology leaders out there. How have they used some of these areas to build some of the biggest companies and products that all of us use every day?
What are you looking forward to getting out of attending the confrence?
Vishal Kapoor: I'm really looking forward to two takeaways from this conference. The first is learning from other speakers and technology leaders presenting besides me to understand what are some of the best practices, tools and techniques that they use to build and launch products at their companies across the industry. And the second is to build long lasting relationships with both the speakers as well as the attendees of the conference.
