John Fontenot: Hello, My name is John Fontenot. I'm currently a Senior product manager at Lendio, which is a small business loan marketplace, and I'm the founder of Path 2 Product, where we're creating a streamlined path for aspiring product managers to get the experience they need to get into product management.
What will you be discussing at the upcoming Product-Led Festival?
John Fontenot: I'm going to be talking about how to connect OKRs to your product strategy and the real reason why OKRs breakdown in practice.
What nugget of wisdom are you hoping to leave attendees with after your talk?
John Fontenot: OKRs can be frustrating. So what I hope that the all the listeners and the audience gets out of this talk is something tangible to walk away with, to say, OK, now we feel more comfortable tying together, OKRs, which we've been struggling with with something that will help them actually succeed and create alignment throughout the organization. So we're not just running off into a million different directions with different departments, trying to accomplish the same goal in different ways, but to actually bring some coherence organizationally, not just within the product department, but organizationally to how we execute.
Which other sessions are you looking forward to attending at the festival?
John Fontenot: So I'm a big proponent of product-led growth as a go-to market strategy. And so I'm really looking forward to the two sessions that we have all around PLG, as well as the workshop.
