Speaker: Lisa Hayden, North Shore Psychological Services Inc

Lisa Hayden: from our blogs, a place where we hope they feel seen and most importantly feel hope.

Please introduce yourself and tell us a little about your private practice.

Lisa Hayden: My name is Lisa Hayden, and I'm a registered psychologist in Nova Scotia, Canada. I own a group practice with both psychological and speech language services, and we have two locations in two communities of rural Nova Scotia. We do hope to add another location in the province that's near to us in the near future.

What made you decide to work with Private Practice Elevation?

Lisa Hayden: I decided to work with private practice elevation after hearing Daniel speak on several private practice podcasts. His communication of difficult concepts like SEO conversion rates, and Google ratings was understandable to the layperson. I reached out to Daniel in private practice elevation to complete an SEO assessment of our clinic website at the time. This assessment was invaluable and helped me understand our needs. That is when I asked private practice elevation to help us develop a website that would help us connect with our ideal client. We had always relied solely on word of mouth and positive working relationships with other specialists, like family physicians, pediatricians, child psychiatry, and school teams. However, with our expansion of services and the number of clinicians at our practice, it was time for us to add other means to help our newer clinicians connect with their ideal clients.

What specific outcome have you achieved as a result of working with the PPE team?

Lisa Hayden: We have achieved so much in working with private practice elevation. Our website is now a resource hub for potential clients. A place where they can find information from our blogs, a place where we hope they feel seen and most importantly feel hope. Our website is no longer just a business card. It is a place where we can connect with our ideal client from a truly authentic place at the onset of their journey. While we still receive word of mouth referrals, we also receive many referrals from parents who found us simply by an internet search and connect it with us. This was not happening prior to our work with private practice elevation. We get a great deal of engagement with our website and are excited to continue to grow this resource for our community.

If you were to recommend our services to another practice owner or therapist, what would you say?

Lisa Hayden: I would not hesitate to recommend private practice elevation to other practice owners or therapists. Not only is our website beautiful, it also connects with our mission and values beautifully. From a purely pragmatic lens, we do have a stronger online presence, higher search rankings, increased traffic, and more client inquiries. But most importantly to us, however, especially in our mental health crisis, is the fact that families in need are much more readily able to find and connect with us to get the support that they are seeking.
