Speaker: Tayson Whittaker, Outdoor Vitals

Please describe how Tyler at Primed Provider helped you with the operating system of your business?

Tayson Whittaker: But um reading and applying can be a challenge sometimes, especially if it's maybe not your skill set. So when we brought in Tyler from Primed, um what it allowed us to do is really set the entire company on a trajectory to follow an organization and operating system and have everything work through specific communication channels and happen in specific meetings instead of just a constant bombardment onto me or, or potentially other leaders in the company. So, um Tyler really helped to, to pioneer that and take it from, you know, a book level of knowledge to an application level of knowledge uh within my company at Outer Vitals.

What are the benefits you experienced by implementing a business operating system?

Tayson Whittaker: I'd say the biggest benefit that we saw by implementing a business operating system was uh employee satisfaction went way up instead of employees just never knowing what was going on or never knowing who to go to with certain problems. Um They really fell in line and we saw a massive jump forward in employee satisfaction and employee output. Um So that was absolutely huge, but it also um allowed me to free up time and free up mental capacity and, and know that things were getting taken care of over here to focus on the things that I might be best at focusing at. So uh those are probably my two biggest benefits just, just complete completely um not eliminated but, but drastically reduce the amount of just chaos happening within the office and everyone thrived in that situation a whole lot better.

How much time has a business operating system saved you?

Tayson Whittaker: Utilizing an operating system in the business. It's definitely saves me time, but it's mainly saved me switching costs. Um Essentially, I'm able to block things together in meetings and get everyone on the same page and everyone in the same room at the same time. And then when I'm done with those meetings for me, I'm really meeting heavy in the first part of the week. Um The second half of the week, I have a lot of flexibility to work on the things that I need to work on that are going to move the needle for my business. So, um it's, it's saved me a time, but it's also just saved me so much of that, like in employees walking in and asking me to fix something right now. And it's, and it's urgent right now. Um instead of being able to hold that within a space where it's consistent and we can work through problems. And so it just, it's, it's definitely saved me a lot of time in that regard and it really just given me control of my time again.

How has participation in the Primed Mastermind benefitted your business and life?

Tayson Whittaker: mastermind, the, the biggest thing with working with any mastermind I think is idea generation and generating ideas. And then also seeing where your weaknesses lie anytime you can get in a, uh, a well organized mastermind with, with good individuals in that room. Um, it really helps you be able to see where your weaknesses are. You can see where other people's strengths are and, and then you can just ask them directly for help on those things. Um, but also it allows you to bring in ideas and get feedback at a very high level, you know, at, at a level that you don't sometimes get from your own employees or maybe it's topics that you don't want to discuss with your employees, you want to flush out and talk to them somewhere else. And so for me, um, it's been a big help in, in both, um, being able to, to look at other people and, and, um, take what they're doing really well and plug it into my business, but also, um, generate new ideas to take back to my business. And I've been a part of a lot of masterminds and I would say the most important part of masterminds is structure. It only takes one individual to dominate a mastermind and kind of ruin it for everyone else. And so having structure within that mastermind group has been really key to me being able to get those takeaways that I go to a mastermind to get.

What do you look forward to inside of the Mastermind?

Tayson Whittaker: I look forward to hearing what other business owners and individuals in the mastermind are doing that is helping them. Sometimes it's really quick wins that are just like, man, you can just plug that in and go instantly. Other times it's up and coming things that maybe you weren't aware of related to, maybe it's a I or other tools like that. Um But I'm always looking for new ideas for some, some fresh aspects and I feel like that's what I look forward to the most within the mastermind is just learning what you don't know and what you, you know, it's so hard to learn what you don't know. You can't, you don't know what you don't know. Right. And so going into those masterminds, um in those meetings, there's a lot of smart people in the room and I've had success, but there's a lot smarter people out there than me. And so life and business is too short to learn from my mistakes alone, uh or to have all of the best ideas. And so I really look forward to just generating ideas and um learning from, from others within the room
