What did you enjoy most about the Primal Health Coach Certification Course?

Marisa Moon: Oh, the Primal [Health Coach] Certification course was actually really fun to do because it was this mix of nutrition and ancestral health content. And I felt like I was learning so much and I'm like furiously taking notes and then we get into business building aspects. Even from the very beginning, they're asking you to help, think about what your special sauces, your your secret powers, right? So that you can come through and cut through the noise and the competition and really stand out and help people who you can relate to. They help me craft my own story from the very beginning. Even if you don't even feel like you belong in the industry yet or that you, you know, you have imposter syndrome, like who am I to be a health coach? They help you through all of that. And then by the time you're halfway through the course, you're like, whoa I am really getting the feeling that I am building a business here and that's what makes them so exceptional. No, wait, what makes them so exceptional is that they are always building on the curriculum. They're adding new stuff and evolving with the industry, adding new certification courses. And just when you think they can't get better, they just keep upping everything another level. I am so impressed. I felt so supported and the content is truly top notch. It's really like a primal enthusiast dream.

How did the curriculum set you up for success and what are you doing now as a Primal Health Coach?

Marisa Moon: There are a couple of things that really stand out. When I think back to when I first became a certified Primal health coach in the curriculum, with the Primal Health Coach Institute, I was guided through all of these sort of self discovery exercises to flesh out what it means for me to be my own brand and how I can help others in a very specific targeted way. They often talk about it in any industry as a niche or a niche like finding a lane to start with so that you can stand out in the crowd. And although I resisted it and I resisted it and I resisted it. I still did the work and I ultimately struck gold, I guess you could say with my niche as an intermittent fasting coach. And if it wasn't for the Primal Health Coach Institute and all the mentors and the helpful webinars and the community, I don't think I ever would have made it there to this place where I knew I needed to niche down and get specific about what it is that I do and who it is that I help. And thanks to the things that they've laid out for us in the course, I was able to see that these are the basic building blocks of a successful business. And since then I've presented on numerous virtual summits. I've done live workshops that I've gotten paid for, which to me was a really big deal with. At first I was like, I'll do it for free. I've had a full roster of clients on a waiting list. A popular podcast I've hosted and I'm working on a book right now and it just seems like the possibilities are endless and that fits my personality because I don't like doing the same thing every day.
