What challenges did you face before using Premier, and how has Premier helped you overcome them?
Michael Callanan: I think the biggest challenge we faced was time and people. Now with Premier, we're able to cut down time and use the systems that we want, not be forced into using other systems. Premier is a one stop shop. It's great.
Why did you choose Premier over your previous software and others on the market?
Michael Callanan: We changed to Premier about five years ago now. We chose it because of pricing to start with. It was good pricing. The ease of use compared to previous software is tenfold better. As well as the support we've had from implementation all the way through to now. It's direct contact with people. You're not waiting on responses for days. So support has been great also.
What Premier features do you rely on daily, and how do they improve your business?
Michael Callanan: The features we rely on um, on a daily basis would be our job dashboards. Our project teams, it's the first thing they do each day. Log in, you're checking real time data as well as going backwards, making sure everything's up to date. You're not waiting on a paper trail of items to hit the software. It's already in there ready to go. The other thing is obviously job forecasting. So you're able to keep control of your job as you go rather than once a month with other systems that I've used. It's been tremendous in that and the project teams are wanting to do it. So with ease of use and the way that we can do it on a daily basis has been great.
What advice would you give to companies thinking about transitioning to Premier?
Michael Callanan: Transitioning to new systems is extremely difficult. Speaking from experience, with Premier, it was the easiest I've done and I've probably done a few of them now. The support was great. From the start getting it in the system, there's a lot of tools to help you and you're sort of controlling your own destiny rather than going - "This is the system, this is what you need to use, this is how you do it." You've got the freedom. Moving over, there's challenges with change. But going from previous software where no one used the software to now everyone's using the software. That's our biggest indicator that everyone in the company is using it rather than previously when no one was using the old software because it was too difficult. That was our biggest, I guess KPI, that we knew that the system we selected being Premier was the one and the right one for our company.
