Speaker: Kim Smith, Preeclampsia survivor
Why does preeclampsia research matter?
Kim Smith: So preeclampsia research is an avenue a critical way for us to have more discovery and implement more interventions proactively so that lives are saved and that families are held strongly together. And there's not this air of fear and concern at when you announce as a Black woman that yes, I'm having a baby and there's a fear that comes on. No, we want to have answers. We want to have clarity and we need you at the table to help us do that.
Kim Smith: I am all in to take 10.
