Speaker: Katie Skillington

Katie Skillington : So my symptoms postpartum again were easily angered a high level of stress. I'll say my energy energy is not easily found with lack of sleep postpartum, but then also I had struggled with acne quite a bit.

What is your name and how many postpartum recoveries have you been through?

Katie Skillington : My name is Katie Skillington, and I've been through two postpartum recoveries.

Katie Skillington : Hi, my name is Katie Skillington, and I have had two postpartum recoveries.

How did you hear about Postpartum Care USA?

Katie Skillington : I know Stacia Scott. We've been friends for quite a few years now and so I knew exactly where to turn once I had my babies.

Katie Skillington : I heard about Postpartum Care USA through their founder, Stacia Scott. We met through Orange Theory. I got to coach her and we have been friends ever since.

What made you finally invest in your postpartum recovery and what did you try prior to starting with our packages?

Katie Skillington : After my first, I didn't really have a lot of investment in my postpartum when it comes to um emotional health and physically I felt like I had it covered for the most part and felt prepared, but when it came to my lack of nutrients or um just my Own, uh, I guess thoughts postpartum. I actually went to Stacia because we're friends and so she's the person I leaned on, um, in my time of need a couple of years ago before PPCU came about. And so last year when I had my daughter, I knew exactly who to reach out to and so I reached out to the postpartum care USA team and, um, they've really helped me out since.

Katie Skillington : So after my first pregnancy and postpartum, I felt like I recovered fairly well physically. I had a game plan, but I'm in fitness, and so that kind of made it easier. And, but emotionally, that was a lot harder than I expected and I felt like I handled it OK, but I definitely thought there could have been improvements and I didn't really have much to turn to. Honestly, I turned to Stacia a lot before this was before PPCU. And I turned to her to ask her lots of questions as I knew that she was well knowledgeable and, um, just, yeah, was very passionate about postpartum mamas. And then I decided to turn to PPCU when I had my second kid. Because I knew that my hormones were off. I had continued to struggle with, um, acne for my first pregnancy and just knew that I needed some extra help. And so Stacia and her team have been that help since I reached out.

What were you struggling with specifically and how was it affecting your life?

Katie Skillington : Postpartum on my first, I struggled with definitely some mood swings and kind of lack of nutrition and then. 8 months later, I also started struggling with some acne, which stuck around through my second pregnancy and postpartum, and my acne got really bad and I just felt very self-conscious. It was inflamed constantly. I definitely felt that inflammation, um, in other areas as well, mostly through my face and I also had some anger. That just came up really easily. I was easily irritated and just felt like I didn't have a lot of, uh, emotional control. And, uh, yeah, just easily irritated and, um, angered. So that was definitely causing some strife in my relationship with my husband and definitely my relationship with my almost 2 year old after I had my second kid.

How did we help with significantly reducing those symptoms and getting you back to the things you loved? Be specific.

Katie Skillington : So my symptoms postpartum again were easily angered a high level of stress. I'll say my energy energy is not easily found with lack of sleep postpartum, but then also I had struggled with acne quite a bit. They got me on a plan of supplements and that in itself decreased my stress levels because not knowing what to do and what to do about it. And where to turn is brings about stress in itself and so that was huge, um, and. Something less to worry about. Um, I felt confident in how I could help myself through these supplements, and then after 5 months of taking them consistently, I did and do notice a decrease in my acne quite a bit and so my self-confidence has definitely risen since then and so I'm just so appreciative of the game plan that Postpartum Care USA has brought me.

What was your overall experience and would you recommend our services to any mom in need? Give them permission to reach out mama!!

Katie Skillington : OK, I give Postpartum Care USA just a 10 out of 10. Overall experience was phenomenal. I, yes, I'm good friends with Stacia Scott, but man, her and her team just do a good thorough job of hearing you out as a mama, um, and just asking good questions, things that I wouldn't have thought to ask myself on where I was at, how I might be struggling, and they just put me in a good path. Of where I needed to go. They helped me find labs on where to get my labs drawn, and those were super timely. And then immediately after getting those labs back, I, you know, sat down with another MP and we talked through everything and I just felt like there was over the top detail and uh openness for me to ask any question and every question that I needed to in order to understand. All the, all that data. And then afterwards and ever since I've been able to reach out to them via email, and they have gotten back to me right away, um, and helped me. Step by step, and I've just seen so much improvement in my overall confidence in helping myself postpartum, and I would recommend their services to any and every mama out there. So if you are a momma and you um have gone through a postpartum, you should definitely reach out to her and her team. I think you would benefit tremendously. So.
