Speaker: Bailey Henry
What is your name and how many postpartum recoveries have you been through?
Bailey Henry: My name is Bailey Henry and I have been through one beautiful full term postpartum recovery. However, uh, my husband and I faced a lot of infertility and so I had 6 miscarriages before we had our miracle girl and so my body was technically postpartum 6 times before this, so 7 total.
How did you hear about Postpartum Care USA?
Bailey Henry: I heard about Postpartum Care USA on Instagram. I saw a few other people interacting with some posts, and I thought, well, that sounds interesting, and I clicked on it and I'm very glad that I did.
What made you finally invest in your postpartum recovery and what did you try prior to starting with our packages?
Bailey Henry: I finally just hit a wall in a breaking point when I was about 2 months postpartum. We have a 5 year old son and, you know, I had a newborn. And I couldn't make it through the day. I just couldn't, it was more than just the baby blues, but also I knew in postpartum that you're supposed to go through this beautiful journey of rediscovering yourself and having another child to take care of and all those things, but I didn't expect to feel so sick and I felt very ill, very weak and very sick. And so that was my breaking point. Um, and I had tried eating a lot of steak and vegetables before, drinking as much water as I could, but when you're nursing, it all just gets taken out of you anyway, but I, I hit a wall.
What were you struggling with specifically and how was it affecting your life?
Bailey Henry: I was struggling with energy and just how to make it through the day and also the knowledge of what my body needed through food and supplements and postpartum. I thought I was taking a vitamin that would help me in postpartum and it wasn't even scratching the surface. So I was really just struggling with how to nurture myself after such a big ordeal, like having a baby.
How did we help with significantly reducing those symptoms and getting you back to the things you loved? Be specific.
Bailey Henry: After starting working with Postpartum Care USA, I am so thankful that I actually know what vitamins and supplements to take because of the lab results that it gave me. I wasn't even scratching the surface and knowing what to eat, like pumpkin seeds to help me with protein and detoxing my liver. I had no idea that women in postpartum were basically thrown into autoimmune diseases a lot. And my symptoms, while they are a great deal better, I still have a lot of work to do and I'm so thankful for Postpartum Care USA to give me the tools and the information on how to take care of myself so I can take care of my children.
What was your overall experience and would you recommend our services to any mom in need? Give them permission to reach out mama!!
Bailey Henry: My experience was a 10 out of 10. I would recommend this and I have recommended this to all of my friends who are postpartum, to women online. Treat yourself. This isn't even a treat, this is a must, a must. You have to take care of yourself so you can take care of your babies and you don't know what you don't know. And Postpartum Care USA digs deeper into that lab work to find things that your regular. Um, nurse practitioner or OBGYN wouldn't figure out in the first place, um, but definitely you need to reach out today.
