Speaker: Alexander Rankin, Director / Financial Adviser - Artisan Wealth
Alexander Rankin: Hi there, Alex Rankin, Director at Artisan Wealth. I was seeking new advice technologies due to my experience in the industry where I'd worked at other firms which were really inefficient. This inefficiency cost time and the end result was increased advice costs and frustration to the end client. So when starting Artisan Wealth, I wanted to have efficiency and technology front of mind to make sure we could deliver a product that we were proud to stand behind, as well as at a really competitive cost for our clients.
What are the advantages of using Plutosoft to deliver advice?
Alexander Rankin: One of the defining features of Plutosoft is the software's ability to adapt and update the client's information no matter where you're working. If you're working in a modelling session or if you're updating the fact find, the software talks to itself, and this makes so much sense, however, no-one else is really doing this. This saves countless hours as well as several double keying events, which helps reduce the risk of human error. However, the biggest change is the overall strategic focus of the platform. It is crystal clear that Plutosoft understands the advice process and just how pivotal the overarching strategy is to how we help our clients. It's not a tool to churn and push products, it's a platform to help deliver in-depth strategic advice. Having your advice documents be produced directly off the back of a modelling session helps keep strategy front of mind as well as save an incredible amount of time.
How does Plutosoft compare to other advice tech you have used?
Alexander Rankin: Focus on advice and strategy at Plutosoft is second to none. There's a lot of other platforms out there who claim to be an advice tool, but in reality, when it comes down to trying to produce that strategic advice, it's more of a hindrance than a help. Plutosoft focuses and centres themselves everything around strategy, production of quality advice. The intuitive look and feel of the software is fantastic. It's easy to learn, it's easy to teach others, and when you are thinking about a feature that just should be there, it already is. The backend help and support of Plutosoft is impressive. I'll be trying to do some work and have had something go wrong, either on my end or maybe a glitch, sending out a, a message to the help and support team, they're straight onto it. These guys are there to help and they're there to help you in any way that they can. The ability to customise the platform, including some of the documents that you produce, as well as some of the underlying assumptions, as well as many other factors of the advice process is extensive. You can mould this platform to the way in which you see advice as well as ensuring that you're covering any particulars that your licensee may want to see.
How satisfied are you overall with the software since switching?
Alexander Rankin: I could not be more satisfied with Plutosoft. The ability for it to work in with my firm and the way in which we see advice, the ability to customise the platform without needing to engage a third party consultant to help you with the back-end , it's easy to use, it's competitively priced, and it's clear that they are continually investing back into their platform. The updates that they're bringing out are industry leading, they're always on the front foot, listening to advisors. If you submit an improvement, uh, more often than not, it's completed in the next round of improvements. So it's, uh, impressive to see the way that they're listening to what advisors want to have delivered, and they're going up and above and beyond this.
Would you recommend Plutosoft to other financial planning practices?
Alexander Rankin: Not only would I, but I do actively recommend Plutosoft to anyone and everyone who will listen. I feel like it's just revolutionized the way in which I operate my business and I just want to share that with as many other practices as I can.
