Speaker: Blythe Potter
Blythe Potter: Hello, students defending democracy. My name is Blithe Potter and I'm coming to you from Johnson County, Indiana. I vote for lots of reasons. One, I grew up in a Republican family and we made sure to vote every year two. I am now a democrat and I have been for more than a decade. I'm also on the ballot. I'm running for Johnson County Council at large and my husband is running for house district four seven here in Indiana. And mostly I voted because we have got to create good change for our community, focus on political wellness and in Indiana we have to break the super majority, which has been Republican for more than 20 years. Thank you so much for everything you do. Fingers crossed, everything goes well after this election. And hopefully we're on the other side, blue and stronger and united together.
