Speaker: Michelle A

Where were you at before the program? How were you feeling and what were you struggling with?

Michelle A: Prior to starting the program, I was struggling a lot with finding the motivation to get back into the gym and to train on my own. This was in 2022 towards the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. And for the three years prior to that, during the pandemic, I was working a lot working from home in a desk setup that wasn't very, I had a lot of body aches and pains and I was just tired. And so it was really challenging for me to get excited about going back. And so I, you know, I think having accountability um through my sessions with Chris and through this program have been really helpful for that.

What are the results now?

Michelle A: After working with Chris for the past 67 months, I have definitely noticed results. I'm much stronger than I was seven months ago. I don't have as much pain as I used to before. And I'm a lot more aware and in tune with how my body is feeling. And I think that's the biggest thing for me outside of that, Chris has helped me with so many other aspects of my life, including sleep. I'm going to bed earlier than I was before. I'm getting more sleep. I'm learning to prioritize my sleep and nutrition. Um I've been a lot more thoughtful about what I put into my body and making sure that my food and nutrition is aligned with my goals in the gym. I think one other thing that's been huge for me is just shifting my mindset and my relationship to training. I think prior to the program, I used to judge myself a lot for not going into the gym. I used to feel guilty if I went on vacation or got sick. And I now, you know, I am seeing training as a thing to fit into my lifestyle and not something that has to be, you know, the end all, be all for me. And so I have a much more relaxed relationship about training and in a good way, in a way that's healthy and aligned with the other goals that I have in my life.

Can you describe any positive impacts on your overall well-being that have resulted from working with Chris and other members?

Michelle A: I have definitely noticed um you know, positive impacts to my overall well being after being a part of this gym and the programming that Chris has provided me. Um I, I think I have a more positive outlook on um you know, food nutrition and training um and on my body, body. Um I'm a lot more uh cognizant of how stress impacts me, how it could affect um you know, my results in the gym. And so I'm, I think I'm just practicing, you know, mindfulness in all other areas of my life um in the same way that, you know, Chris has, has taught me to practice that here.

Have you noticed any sustainable changes in your lifestyle or habits as a result of the program?

Michelle A: I have noticed sustainable change, more sustainable changes in my life as a result of the program, I think a big thing for me is I used to get kind of obsessive about food. Um I used to have this like binge and diet cycle and that was something that I had already been working on prior to uh starting the program here. Uh But I think, you know, as I've been learning more about, you know, food and nutrition and sleep and how that all relates to my uh results in the gym. I've realized that I don't need to put as much of an emphasis on food as I have in the past. And that may not be the experience of everyone here. There may be some people that want to focus more on their diet, um and making sure that it, it aligns with their goals. But I think the biggest thing that I've, I've learned here is that it can look different for everyone. You know, it's based on your personal goals and your lifestyle. And I don't necessarily have to do it the same way as everyone else. I can figure out something that works for me. Um, and I think that that has helped, um, me maintain a more sustainable relationship with, uh, training and nutrition.

Who would you recommend this program too?

Michelle A: I would recommend this program to anyone who wants to get stronger. Um Anyone who is committed to their goals, um and anyone who is open minded and wants to learn and wants to grow, I think you have to have the right mind coming in here. Again, that's another thing that Chris teaches a lot. Um is the importance of your mindset. And I think a lot of people have, you know, I, I think it's easy to have a very negative mindset when it comes to your body or even putting yourself through pain in the gym. Um And I mean, a good kind of pain, not, you know, the kind of pain where you're, you know, pushing yourself to injury. So I think if you can come here and you're willing to work hard and you are open to growth and open to learning new things and you want to have fun while doing it and build a community of like minded folks. Then I think this is a great program and a great gym to be a part of
