Why is long COVID patient advocacy important to you?

Sam Williams : Hi. Uh, my name's Sam. I'm 51. I've got lung COVID and parts and I'm autistic. I'm in a bad sort of long COVID slump at the moment. I'm suffering from extreme brain inflammation. Uh I've done this, read about this today about how I got really dehydrated and really fatigued. So it badly affected my brain inflammation. So I spent quite a lot of today thinking about killing myself until I, you know, remember that I was suffering from long COVID brain inflammation. I do long COVID advocacy because I'm the help. I spent a lot of time waiting and asking for help from other people and waiting for able bodied people to come along and speak up for us. No one's coming. It's us and a few people like us. That's it.
