Introduce yourselves!
Neha & Amit: Hi, my name is Neha and this is my husband. Amit. We live in San Francisco Bay area, California. Hi. I work in finance and accounting at a start up and Neha works in technology at a bank.
When thinking about the future, what type of relationship do you hope to have with your child's birth family?
Neha & Amit: As we think about the future, we do hope to have an open respectful and understanding relationship with our child's birth family. We do want them to know that they were loved and the birth family made the choice to make the child a cherished part of our lives. Their birth parents will always hold a special place in their identity and we hope to honor them to make it an important part of their life story. We do want to stay in touch with the birth family via emails and we would be happy to share pictures along the way.
What one word describes your family best? Why?
Neha & Amit: We describe a family as very supportive and full of joy. We love coming together during happy and fun times and we're equally there for each other during challenging times.
What makes your family stand out?
Neha & Amit: Our families have diverse interests and shared values. We strongly believe in kindness and supporting each other, whether it's cheering each other at a game or taking care of our nephew and nieces responsibilities or even just simply getting together and having a good time. Having a meal. We cherish our family traditions, like celebrating festivals, taking annual trips around the world. This brings us closer and helps us build lasting memories through life's ups and downs. We've always been there for each other and more importantly, we try our best to keep ourselves grounded.
