Speaker: Kate K.
Kate K.: Being able to listen to symptoms and what I was talking about, they were both really able to help and make me think about things in a different way,
What has your experience been like? From first hearing about Oshi, to your first appointment, to now?
Kate K.: I'd say it was a very nice option to be able to reach out to an online resource and not have to deal with, you know, going somewhere in person, wait times, all that kind of stuff, um, and honestly just being able to sit in my PJs and talk to a medical professional, um, was really, really helpful. So I, I very much enjoyed my Oshi experience, and if I continue to have issues, definitely would come back, um, and would recommend to anyone for sure.
How has your life changed since working with Oshi? What would you say to someone who is considering treatment with Oshi?
Kate K.: Um, I wouldn't say that my life is necessarily earth-shatteringly changed, um, but I did get, you know, some information and, and some perspective, um, even is, is actually a good word, um, that I never thought of before, um, with working with the, I actually worked with two different doctors, um, through Oshi, um, and it was really, you know, they were able to. You know, for seeing me virtually and not able to touch, check any part of the body, um, but being able to listen to symptoms and what I was talking about, they were both really able to help and make me think about things in a different way, um, that I hadn't before and that no other doctor had told me, so it was really, really good experience.
Which provider did you find most helpful and why? Gut brain specialist, dietician, medical GI provider, or a combination?
Kate K.: So, I actually think um I found a combination uh more helpful than, than anything. Um, I had worked with a gut brain specialist and a medical GI provider. And they were both really, really great. um, obviously it started with the medical GI provider and they were the ones who suggested talking to someone about that gut, uh, well, a gut-brain specialist and really about that gut-brain connection that um opened my eyes a bit, you know, no one, none of the doctors I had seen um in in real life going to their offices had ever, you know, even mentioned that there could be a connection with the with the brain, um, and so being able to. You know, not, I was never able to get answers on what was wrong, and so then talking to a gut brain specialist kind of made me think like maybe it is, you know, maybe not something so physically wrong as as my brain and stressors um causing, you know, pains that maybe I don't, you know, really have and so gave me some methods to work through that, and I would say I've definitely felt better um since really being cognizant of that advice and of thinking that you know thinking outside the box that it's not just your body. There there is that mental connection, um, and it's been really, really awesome.
