Speaker: Gitl V.
Gitl V.:
How were GI symptoms impacting your quality of life before you found Oshi? (The more specific you can be, the better!)
Gitl V.: I've been having GI symptoms for years before I heard about Oshi I'd been seeing a uh a GI specialist, a physician for, oh, several decades, um, and I'd always had a lot of bloating and gas and uh very difficult preps for colonoscopies, and I got diagnosed diagnosis such as uh redundant colon. Uh, and other kinds of descriptions of my colon, but it didn't give me an idea of what was causing this. Um, so for the last 3 years my GI doctor put me on Linzess, which helped somewhat, but it really wasn't doing the trick. So one day I get this email from Oshi which I thought right away was a scam except that I saw the name of my insurance company listed there and I said well I don't know let me let me give it a shot. And from day one the experience was incredible. uh, the, the nurse practitioner Rebecca um, made a suggestion on day one, which was so incredibly helpful and it was so simple and it was to eat 2 green kiwis a day, preferably with with the skin on, which I have done now for more than 6 months, and uh it has done worked wonders. Um, and then Liana the dietitian also both of them very personable, very knowledgeable, and uh pinned right down what my issues were, um, so I changed my diet somewhat, um, I, I wasn't willing to change it as, as much as I should, but, um, I changed my supplements, um, I I changed how I eat when I eat, um, and I have been incredibly incredibly happy with this Oshi plan. um, I, I can't say enough about it. Thank you very much.
How has your life changed since working with Oshi? Is there anything you can do now that you couldn't before?
Gitl V.: My practical, uh day to day did not change a lot, um, I did everything that I used to do before. I was never limited by anything. But my comfort level with my own body and with my with my bowels and with uh just fitting into my clothes um my bloating was not letting me wear some of my um skirts and some of my um uh dresses, uh, because I was just bloated, there was one time when I actually looked like I was 5 months pregnant. And it was a very scary experience, um, so is there anything I can do now that I couldn't do before? I can't really say that, um, but I just feel more comfortable with my body and that makes all the difference. It, um, really was a game changer.
What would you say to someone who is considering treatment with Oshi?
Gitl V.: Oshi did, um, and the staff were understanding, they were kind, there was nothing they said that that embarrassed me in any way. Um, their bedside manner, so, so to speak, um, was just very, very kind and knowledgeable and, um, creative in their solutions, so I would wholeheartedly recommend Oshi.
