Speaker: Orlando F., Ops Supervisor, Sacramento County

Why did you choose OptimoRoute?

Orlando F.: Hi, I work in the unincorporated Sacramento County area and we've been using OptimoRoute for about 2.5 years now. OptimoRoute is a really good system. It's live, it's interactive and it's been wonderful for our operations and I endorse OptimoRoute and encourage you to use it as well. Thank you.

How did you route plan before?

Orlando F.: Before OptimoRoute, we used to plan our route to pick up garbage in a way that was archaic. We had to go into our system, pull the routes out, put them on a map and plan them that way. And so the drivers all had maps and it was like I said, it was an old way of doing things. Since OptimoRoute, we can use those on our cell phones or tablets and things like that. So it was really, really good.

How has OptimoRoute helped your business?

Orlando F.: OptimoRoute has saved our company time and fuel and enabled us to be more efficient for the simple fact that we don't have to cross each other, we don't have to double back. We can, it can be separated throughout 4 to 5 drivers and they can all do their part. And if need be, we can add pieces from different routes to drivers' routes tthat are done sooner so that we can be efficient. So it has saved us time and money. Like I said, OptimoRoute is a really good software for anyone that's using multiple drivers to do certain areas or specific routes.

How easy is OptimoRoute to use?

Orlando F.: OptimoRoute is as easy as 1-2-3. You can type in your routes - address by address, or you can have them placed in an Excel file, pull them over, drag and drop and upload them, plan them, send them to your routes. Whether it's via tablet that you're sending them to or you can send them to your laptop, you can send them to the computer. You can send them while on your computer, you can send them to their cell phones. Easy as 1-2-3.

How important are speed and flexibility for your business?

Orlando F.: Speed and flexibility is always a key to business and being able to do things efficiently and being agile so that you can use different tools and different strategies. to strategically plan. It's a really good system to use and it does all that and you can see live if you have deliveries, you can see then them being done live - really good.
