Speaker: Dan W., Sr. Locksmith, We've Got the Key
Why did you choose OptimoRoute for your business?
Dan W.: So I'm a locksmith for We've Got the Key and we use OptimoRoute as our primary navigation. I like how it's very intuitive to use and how it helps us manage our workflow. It's, especially with the new updates that they've actually managed to add on, that you can go to set a waypoint to your house afterwards. So yeah, it helps a lot easier.
How did you manage route planning before OptimoRoute?
Dan W.: So we used a system called Apex. And Apex is more kind of a mechanic based route planning system and it was all right, but it was very complicated and also was too much into mechanic kind of stuff. So, the good thing about OptimoRoute is that it's quite, in a good way, basic, you can add stuff to it if you want to. But it's a lot better for the route planning. It works on most mobile devices. So it's a very good tool for us to have at our locksmith company and it's very quick to update from our logistics point of view.
How easy is OptimoRoute to use?
Dan W.: Very easy to use actually. So we actually use it as our primary route navigation system and it's very intuitive to use, very easy for both the logistics point of view and our drivers' point of view. So that's very handy for us to be able to use it in that way. It's very easy to use while the phone's mounted in the vehicle, with big, accessible buttons. Obviously, I don't use my mobile phone while I'm driving. However, to tap a button as I would do on a radio, it's always there and very convenient.
How important are speed and flexibility for your business?
Dan W.: So, speed and flexibility are very key when we've got our business because we're tackling emergency situations that people have locked themselves out of the car, there's a baby or a dog or something along them lines that are locked inside a car. So speed can be very useful in that kind of circumstance. Obviously, we don't break the law when we're doing this. But the ability to then have a route and the efficiency to actually plan that route very quickly and add on to them routes from our logistics point of view to our driver's point of view is very crucial when we're dealing with stuff like that.
