Tell us about your company and why you chose OptimoRoute?
Dan F.: Hi, my name is Dan Frith from Wandsworth Food Bank. We're a small charity in London, England and we use OptimoRoute weekly to plan deliveries of emergency food to people in financial crisis that've been referred to us if they're unable to come to one of our welcome centers. We have volunteer drivers going out across the part of London we are in and we use OptimoRoute to make those deliveries much more efficient and effective.
How did you plan routes before OptimoRoute?
Dan F.: So before we discovered OptimoRoute, we would be planning our routes manually which is just about doable. It just takes a lot of time and a lot of thought. So using OptimoRoute saves us a lot of time and it means that we're a lot more efficient in our work.
How has OptimoRoute helped your business?
Dan F.: OptimoRoute has saved us a lot of time, which is helpful in terms of us increasing our efficiency. It means that we can deliver emergency food much quicker to people when they're in a crisis. And it makes it a much more enjoyable experience for our staff and for our volunteers, as well as the people that are receiving the deliveries.
How easy is OptimoRoute to use?
Dan F.: Is pretty easy to use. It didn't take us too long to get to grips with the basics, most of the functions that we need for our use. So there are quite a few of our team now who are able to use it and to get the information from it we need quite quickly, which is super helpful.
What about speed and flexibility of your business?
Dan F.: Speed and flexibility are really both important to us. As an organization, we need to be able to respond quite quickly. When we receive a referral to be able to deliver some emergency food, we need to be flexible where other things come up, how things change and we need to adapt. And so OptimoRoute gives us the tools to be able to do, that takes a lot of the thinking space out of the equation and just enables us to come up with a solution that we know we can trust.
