Why did you choose OptimoRoute?
Dustin H.: My name is Dustin Hamilton, I work with The Realty Medics. We're a property management company and the reason why we chose OptimoRoute is because it allows us to keep track of where our inspectors are at and really optimize their schedules in order to cut down on time and fill it with more inspections. It's been really a great resource for us in property management.
How did you manage route planning before?
Dustin H.: Prior to OptimoRoute, we used to just set our schedules based on whatever we thought was the fastest route and we just manually set the schedules and plan throughout the day. Definitely made it a lot more difficult. And then also the biggest benefit I would say, well, one is just cutting down on our schedules. We schedule a lot of inspections. We manage almost 1500 properties throughout Central Florida and we do, you know, dozens of inspections every single day. And so really helping us to cut down on travel time and on gas time and also be able to identify exactly where our inspectors are at in case we need them to stop by a property unexpectedly. So we can figure out who the closest person to that property is. It's been a great resource.
How has OptimoRoute helped your business?
Dustin H.: OptimoRoute has definitely made our inspection schedule a lot more efficient. It's definitely saved a lot of headaches too. We are inspectors, we have five on staff and they typically drive about 3000 miles each week to different properties throughout central Florida. And it's really cut down on travel times in order, allowing us to schedule more inspections in the week and also saved us on gas, really streamlining everything. And then it also just helps us in case we have unexpected stops in order to identify who's the closest person that can make that happen.
How easy is OptimoRoute to use?
Dustin H.: OptimoRoute is very easy to use. It communicates with the programs we have where we can just transfer the information over. I don't work directly in the scheduling myself, but I do manage the team and it has definitely saved our whole workforce, a whole lot of headache when it comes to scheduling inspections, which is a large aspect of what our company does.
How important are speed and flexibility for your business?
Dustin H.: Speed and flexibility are a must when it comes to property management. As with as many properties as we manage, we really do need to make sure that we are meeting our deadlines for inspections. And that means scheduling more inspections throughout the week and that's what OptimoRoute allows us to do. It's also with the flexibility, I mean, we never know what a day is gonna look like so we always have to make changes and it's really easy to adapt whenever we need to make changes to our scheduling days. So very easy to use and very efficient.
