Tell us about your company and why you chose OptimoRoute.

Robbie J.: Hello, my name is Robbie and I work here in the UK. We sell spill kits to manufacturing businesses all around the country. And we have two vans on the road who go and service our spill kits up there and various locations throughout the UK. I'm Head of Operations and I am responsible for ensuring that we're using the vans most effectively and using our time the best to make sure that, you know, it's the best use of our time. So we chose OptimoRoute to ensure that the drivers were taking the best routes, ensuring that they were planning ahead for the month and ensuring that we can maximize the time the guys have out on the road. How did you plan routes before OptimoRoute?

Robbie J.: Before we used OptimoRoute, i'd plan manually for five hours, it was very time consuming. And we often would be taking routes where we're bypassing other customers where really we should be stopping. So we changed over to use OptimoRoute. So as we expand as a business and we have more drivers on the road, we can ensure that we're saving time, we can plan weeks ahead where the guys are gonna be and their schedule as things change as they do in business, to make sure that we're using the most effective tools that we have available.

How has OptimoRoute helped you?

Robbie J.: OptimoRoute has helped our business streamline our procedure. The time spent in the office, planning routes and planning the vans and drivers is cut down significantly. It means that we can spend our time in the office doing other things, it also means the drivers are taking the most efficient routes for the vehicles, saving fuel, ensuring that they're using their time the bestm and using the manpower that we need. As the business expands, it means we can plan for part-time staff or external staff to come and help us. And yeah, it's really great.

How easy is OptimoRoute to use?

Robbie J.: A couple of members of staff in our business have been trained up to use it. It's tight and you upload all the data quickly, using an API to do that. It's very efficient, easy for us to make changes as the schedule changes for the drivers and the drivers have the app so they can tell us when they've completed jobs. Which is great and we can inform the customer when they're on the way and when they're due to be there.

How has OptimoRoute helped with speed and flexibility?

Robbie J.: Having the speed and flexibility of our drivers to change the days and the weeks, really helps us in our business where people contact us for an emergency situation, where we need to schedule them as soon as possible. It's allowed us to make sure that we're using the time and the guys that got out on the road most efficiently. And obviously it makes our customers happy that we can service them to that level.
