Why did you choose OptimoRoute for your business?
Michael P.: Hi, I'm Mikey and I'm Transport Manager for Pennine Floor and Supplies, Chester Branch. Here at Pennine, we distribute all flooring supplies, whether that be screed, vinyls, all up and down the country. We chose OptimoRoute to try and streamline and make it easier to plan our routes from day to day and it's working very well.
How did you manage route planning before OptimoRoute?
Michael P.: So, before using OptimoRoute, we planned all our runs on a program called ETCL, which is our main program for everything to do with our business really, from placing orders, checking stocks or things like that. And what I like about OptimoRoute is I can see everything there in front of me. It gives me time, some durations of jobs, how long they're going to be at the jobs. And it gives me the finer details because not every driver operates the same. And it gives me that flexibility between drivers to be able to optimize their route for them.
How has OptimoRoute helped your business?
Michael P.: OptimoRoute has really helped the business with planning, with the routes, with all the features that it has. It's been able to maximize the efficiency in us planning the route. So we are able to take out more deliveries now using less vehicles because we're able to adjust each run to the specific driver that's on that run. And it's been really helpful here.
How easy is OptimoRoute to use?
Michael P.: OptimoRoute is very easy to use with a couple of clicks. You can upload all your runs and have a quick plan there set out for you. With a couple of extra little clicks, You can personalize it to how you want to do it, when you want to do it, which I find is really helpful.
How important are speed and flexibility for your business?
Michael P.: Speed and flexibility is crucial within our business because we need to make sure that the customers receive their goods when they want their goods. And with all the features and the time scaling in OptimoRoute, that allows us to do that.
