Speaker: Addison T., Manager, Papa Bam’s Christmas Trees
Why did you choose OptimoRoute?
Addison T.: Hi, I'm Addison. I'm a Manager for Papa Bam's Christmas Trees, a Christmas tree delivery service in Richmond, Virginia and I chose OptimoRoute because honestly, when I looked up shipment route creator online, it was the first website that popped up and I thought maybe I should research this a little bit more, but I used the free trial and realized that I did not need to look any further - I had found my perfect route creating website.
How did you manage route planning before OptimoRoute?
Addison T.: So the first year of running the company, we created all of the routes by hand and we did not have a lot of orders that year. And doing that with like just a small amount of orders that we had was so hard. So we knew that we needed to find a company to do it for us, a website, a platform. And just doing that has been such a big time saver for us and it really does get it done the most efficiently and it's so much more efficient than trying to do it yourself.
How has OptimoRoute helped your business?
Addison T.: So the biggest way that OptimoRoute helps my business is by saving us time. We don't have to hand make the routes and then our drivers are able to save time like driving. They're not spending as much time on the road and it saves my company money because we don't have to pay for drivers to just be driving in very inefficient routes. They're driving the most efficient way possible is saving us so much money.
How easy is OptimoRoute to use?
Addison T.: OptimoRoute is so easy to use. Honestly, my grandma could use it. Like I run the company with my mom who is not very tech savvy and even she is able to figure out how to use OptimoRoute - it is just that easy.
How important is speed for your business?
Addison T.: Running a small business - that is not my family's main source of income. We're basically just running it in our free time. And so speed is the most important factor in our business. And it's just why would we do something when a computer could do it for us? Even if we have to pay a little bit of money, we would rather have it done quicker.
