Tell us about your company and why you chose OptimoRoute.
John I.: Hi, we're a medical company. We were looking for a provider who could provide simple, effective, low cost routing and dispatch information for a local delivery driver for us to do, for prescription patients who are within our catchment area.
How did you manage route planning before OptimoRoute?
John I.: Before using OptimoRoute we were just manually planning the routes. We were only a couple of weeks into doing local deliveries in the catchment area when we found OptimoRoute and began testing with it immediately and found it was great and very simple, very effective. The biggest benefit is we could integrate it directly with our software, by myself, and therefore, any updates, we could do immediately and we could use it directly from our main enterprise resource planning software.
How has OptimoRoute helped your business?
John I.: OptimoRoute has increased our range of our electric vehicle which does limits for us simply by the fact that it plans the route that's most optimal for us to use. It can cover whether there are urgent deliveries must be done urgently first and it can prioritize those. The main benefits it's had is its ease of use. The API is wonderful and the Driver App is very simple and effective and the Driver App is very customizable too, which is really good.
How easy is OptimoRoute to use?
John I.: OptimoRoute is very easy to use. I'm a developer, it was my job to integrate our systems and work with it. I found their API to be exceptionally easy to use with some simple instructions. I was up and running straight away with some help from the tech team at OptimoRoute who are very friendly and responsive. I had us up and set up within days and as things have come out, more and more features have been released and they've been integrated and we've picked those up. The driver greatly enjoys using the OptimoRoute App. Its other benefit is you can really customize it to your needs. It will allow you to pick which mapping you want to use, whether you want to use a bespoke one that matches your SAT nav or your phones. And yeah, just how customizable it is, is the best feature for us and it's dead simple to use, dead simple to set up, and any issues you have, they'll help you on.
How has OptimoRoute helped speed and flexibility?
John I.: Speed and flexibility are greatly useful for our business. Our customers are patients, they are receiving medical appliances to help with their lives and whilst not life in peril things, they're definitely life improving items. So being able to get those to our customers effectively easily, with OptimoRoute's help is great.
