Who are you?
Abigail Gomes: Hi, my name is Abigail. I'm a 3rd year student at Westminster studying business management, digital business and I earned my badges from the digital skill courses at the Westminster Digital Academy. And these courses basically cover a wide range of skills, like creative software, web development and social media skills.
What do these badges mean to you?
Abigail Gomes: I feel like the badges are more than just certifications. They are basically like evidence of my skills, and I feel like it's changed the way recruiters and potential employees see me as now I I can back up my skills in programmes such as Photoshop and Excel but with verifiable proof. I also feel like it's increased my confidence because it's kind of validation that I have those skills. And now I feel more empowered to apply for more competitive graduate schemes, knowing that I'm more prepared and capable of handling the structured training and the challenges they present.
