Davin Radcliff: Hi, my name is Davin Radcliff. I'm a second term Ohio Statewide Independent Living Council member. I'm currently in Columbus, Ohio. But for my first term I was in the southern most point in Ohio, which is called Coal Grove.
How does the Independent Living Movement impact your community.
Davin Radcliff: I believe that a good example of how the Independent Living movement has impacted my community is by simply reinforcing the shared idea that disabled individuals like me have the ability to live independently. And we do deserve equal rights because after all disability rights are human rights.
How have Centers impacted you?
Davin Radcliff: I do have an impact story that I would like to share. The independent living movement is directly supported by the centers for independent living. And because of that these centers for independent living, continually hold community events with resources that give me and individuals with disabilities, like me the opportunity to learn about resources to live independently. Because of them, I've learned about different resources from transportation to recreational sports and I am very thankful for the Centers.
