Speaker: Sabrina Tetreault, Behavioral and mental health liaison

Sabrina Tetreault: um, choices I've made in my life to date, and it's just so freeing and it's just such an amazing journey that I'm on right now

What was going on in your life and career that made you want to join NLCA?

Sabrina Tetreault: So I've had a lot going on in my life in the last, say, 5 years, um. And because of all of that, I just was feeling very burnt out and feeling like there has to be a better way. There has to be something more I can do, something different. Because my current career and just my current life just wasn't fulfilling, um. And so I started researching and I found an LCA and thought this is the perfect match for me.

What made you say yes to becoming a nurse coach?

Sabrina Tetreault: I actually got on a call with Laura after doing a ton of research and trying to figure out what um nurse coaching was and Just everything that happened in that phone call, just really resonated with me and just really made me feel like this is really like what I should be doing in life. This is what I need to be doing.

What has changed for you since certification?

Sabrina Tetreault: So I'm actually only about halfway through um the certification program at this point in time, but. I just feel like. It all makes sense. Like, even though obviously I'm taking on a more, um, while still working full time. It just feels so right and it doesn't feel like extra work. Like it doesn't, it's not stressful at all. It doesn't seem like it's hard, um, I mean, in a way it does, but it, it's not, it's not extra work. I'm not working more. I'm doing something that I absolutely love and it just gives me more peace, um, in my life and it's given me a lot of hope for, you know, just so much freedom.

What are you most proud of?

Sabrina Tetreault: What I'm most proud of is probably stepping out of my comfort zone and pursuing something that I want to pursue, something that I want to do versus just doing what I feel like society thinks that I should do, or, you know, what my family and friends think I should do. I think I'm most proud of really stepping into myself, becoming my most authentic self and really trying to. Start a life that I absolutely love, um. And not just live a life that. Where I'm surviving and not thriving.

What would you say to a nurse considering joining Nurse Life Coach Academy?

Sabrina Tetreault: I would tell them, absolutely do it. It is perhaps one of the best, um, choices I've made in my life to date, and it's just so freeing and it's just such an amazing journey that I'm on right now and I just, I would really encourage others to do it as well.
