Speaker: Evelyn Todorow, Lifestyle Coach
Evelyn Todorow: I'm very proud to be a nurse and I'm also really proud of other members in the nursing community that are taking this leap with me to continue learning as much as we can about the world of nurse life coaching
What was going on in your life and career that made you want to join NLCA?
Evelyn Todorow: Hello, I'm Evelyn Todero. I'm a student in the Nurse Life Coach Academy. I've been a nurse for 15 years, and I was about 2 years into my practice as a health and wellness coach when I discovered the successful Nurse Coach podcast and the Nurse Life Coach Academy. My intention of joining the program was to deepen my skills as a coach, earn a certification, and to also connect with other nurses in the coaching community.
What made you say yes to becoming a nurse coach?
Evelyn Todorow: Working as a health and wellness coach has been a very fulfilling career choice so far, and becoming certified as a nurse coach was exactly what I needed at this time in my life. Connecting with other nurses that also want to become better at coaching has also been such a great experience, and I've made quite a few amazing friends in the nurse Life Coach Academy.
What has changed for you since certification?
Evelyn Todorow: Although I'm not yet certified as a nurse life coach, I'm about 3 months into the program and I plan to take the exam later this summer after I finished Nurse Life Coach Academy. The 3 months we've had of coursework, coaching labs, and peer coaching experience has already made a huge impact in my life, and I already feel like I have a lot more tools to give a quality coaching experience to my clients.
What are you most proud of?
Evelyn Todorow: I'm very proud to be a nurse and I'm also really proud of other members in the nursing community that are taking this leap with me to continue learning as much as we can about the world of nurse life coaching and how we can empower our clients to make positive changes in their lives.
What would you say to a nurse considering joining Nurse Life Coach Academy?
Evelyn Todorow: For any nurse that is considering joining Nurse Life Coach Academy, I would say come into the program with an open mind and an open heart. There is so much to take from the program while also feeling like you're giving back. The activities we do in the program may push you to places you weren't expecting to go. Yeah, you will most likely experience positive change in all areas of your life.
