Speaker: Apple E
Apple E: They would give you the tools to support people throughout their. Health journey or life, um, not just in medical moments.
What was going on in your life and career that made you want to join NLCA?
Apple E: So I went through a tough health situation um that honestly shook me up. And as I was healing, um, people around me started sharing their own struggles with me. And something just kind of clicked, um. I just recently passed my licensure exam, but I was struggling to find my footing professionally. And those experiences taught me or made me realize that I wanted to turn my own journey of support and healing into a way to help others. The the kind of support that I've experienced. I would want other people to experience as well, um, and that I wanted something that's more than just a career. Um, so, NLCA felt like the perfect next step to do that exactly.
What made you say yes to becoming a nurse coach?
Apple E: So when I first heard about nurse coaching, I wasn't ready to jump in right away. I actually put the idea on the back burner for a few months, months, but something just kept tugging at my heart and that's the desire to make a real difference to truly help people. And every time that I tried to push the thought away, it would come right back. It was like this quiet, but persistent voice inside me saying, this is where you're meant to be.
What has changed for you since certification?
Apple E: So I'm still currently in the certification process, but I feel like I've already gone through a complete reset button for. How I show up, um, I'm learning to be. More present, not just with the people around me, but with myself. Um, I'm also discovering or learning. The power of truly listening. Um, And I've learned. How to make or create spaces for people, for their healing, space for understanding, a space for genuine connection, and um this isn't just to help. My potential clients, um, but it's also transforming how I navigate my own life.
What are you most proud of?
Apple E: So, I've only had 2 pro bono clients so far. Um, but what I'm most proud of is those real genuine moments of connection that I was able to build with them, and I'm seeing how they start to see themselves differently, um, finding hope in spaces where They previously felt stuck. And um It's not just, they're not just coaching sessions, but there are moments of. Real genuine human connection.
What would you say to a nurse considering joining Nurse Life Coach Academy?
Apple E: If you have that feeling in you that there's something more that you can do, I say listen to it, um. This isn't just another certification, but it's a transformative experience and um. They would give you the tools to support people throughout their. Health journey or life, um, not just in medical moments. And you will learn to meet people where they are to help them create real sustainable change. And The best part is that you'll grow just as much as the people you'll be coaching.
