Speaker: Mark, Area Director, Developmental Services
Please take a moment to introduce yourself and tell us about your role at Northern Human Services.
Mark: Hi, my name is Mark. I'm an Area Director in Whitefield and I have worked for Northern a very long time. Very long.
What is the best part about living, working and playing in the North Country of New Hampshire?
Mark: Having been in the North Country a really long time and working at Northern, I think what's best is you really get to know people, and they become family and we really are a family first organization. And so whether I'm at work or at home, I feel like I'm always with family. The people I know at work are talented and smart and we trust each other and work well together and problem solve together. And over the years, because we've been together for so long, it's just, it works. And I'm really the same at work as I am at home and whether that's good or bad, it feels very comfortable. And you really get to care about people. And so it's kind of nice.
What are 3 words you would use to describe our culture and why?
Mark: I'm going to use two words to describe our culture and it is family first, I think over the years, between all the athletic events of my children and coaching and, health issues that may have come up during the day...dentist appointments and things that I needed to be there for family. I think what's great about this organization is that we all agree that family comes first in supporting your own family and then our employees always support the families of those we serve. And it just seems to work ...it just seems to work well.
