Speaker: Jack, Licensed Mental Health Clinician

Please introduce yourself and tell us about your role at Northern Human Services.

Jack: Hi, my name is Jack I am a clinician in the Berlin Mental Health Center. I wanted to take a moment and, and talk about the benefits at Northern. The benefits that Northern have are quite competitive. Health, retirement, insurance, paid time off. As well as if you're a clinician coming out of graduate school, supervision towards licensure, which is great because you get paired up with a, supervisor who's a licensed clinician; has great insight into what to discuss with clients, but also has the expertise and can give you very good guidance. The supervision has been phenomenal for me over the past few years at Northern. And that's really a big part of what I do and why I stay there, is the benefits. Additionally, there's also a student loan repayment and if you're coming out of graduate school with - whether it be $10,000 or $100,000 in student loan debt - you can get help paying that down and that's something that I'm participating in at Northern. It is making a big difference in, our family's financial wellness. So, give Northern a shot. It's a great, agency, wonderful people. And it's been a real pleasure to be a part of that organization for the last five years.

What is the best part about living, working and playing in the North Country of New Hampshire?

Jack: What is the best part of living and working in Northern New Hampshire? Well, you're in the mountains, you're near the lakes. The quality of life is fantastic. I came from Manchester where I lived for about five years and, relocated to where I live near Lancaster and it's definitely best quality life you can have.

What benefits are the most important to you as an employee of Northern?

Jack: What benefits are the most important to you as an employee of Northern? There are several, and I'll outline them. One is the health insurance, health and dental, which is very competitive and I have a large family, so I know that my family is taken care of. Two are the retirement benefits. that Northern does a match for. And then, most importantly, to where I am now is, student loan repayment. There are various programs that Northern supports employees with, I'm in one such program and when all is said and done, I should have about half of my student loan debt paid off. Thanks to that program that Northern is very supportive of. And there's definitely many other benefits that are very, very good and Northern invests in their workforce and we're very well taken care of. So, thank you Northern and thank you for your continued support and great benefits.
