Speaker: Erin Thompson
Could you describe how Next Best Home supports you or your organization?
Erin Thompson: Hi, I'm Erin Thompson, the founder of the aspire for more with Aaron Company and a 20 year veteran inside the senior living industry inside the communities. I have worked with lots of family members looking for placement for their loved one. And this is one of the most vulnerable times in their lives. And I can say this from a personal perspective of my life when I had to move my loved one into an assisted living community. And I worked there when it's time to look, find and move a loved one into senior living. The best way to go is organically not have to use massive companies who give your information out to every community that they have a contract with. Even when you didn't even know that you were giving your information to be spread out, you did it and you get that constant bombardment of people who are just doing their job and maybe you weren't ready for that type of communication. That's what happens if you're not careful. And that's why next best home is the best option for families who want to find communities organically and on their own time frame. And I'm happy that that option is out there for them and for communities it just is a win, win.
What has been one of the benefits of connecting with Next Best Home?
Erin Thompson: OK. One of the best benefits of connecting with next best home is knowing that the people that I refer there will not get the bombardment of hundreds of communities trying to call them for the next step of a commitment. Protecting the peace of the people who need it. The most is top priority.
Do you support open sourcing information for Senior Living and helping families make direct contact with communities?
Erin Thompson: I love the fact that families can contact the communities directly. It allows families the feeling of control in an environment and a situation that they feel out of control in. And with the experience that I have both personally and professionally, the feeling of being able to control what you can control is a feeling that every caregiver needs to feel successful.
