Speakers: Michael Dody, Doctor of Chiropractic , Dody Chiropractic Center for Wholeness. Margaret Hill, Director, Windward Biofeedback Associates

What problem were you trying to solve, and what made you choose NewMind over anything else?

Michael Dody: The original reason why we started doing neurofeedback was actually for myself, you know, I was doing a lot of research about just, you know, ways to optimize my brain function, and I noticed that I was having some issues with being overwhelmed, especially if I had a lot on my platter and it would make me irritable and I just didn't really like that. And I wanted to find ways to optimize brain function. And through my research I found neurofeedback was one of the best ways to do that. And then I started looking at different way different neurofeedback companies or different like systems to use. And that's how I found NewMind and Dr. Soutar specifically, just from all of the research that I did. And so from my research, the big things that I liked about NewMind was that the way that they did the brain mapping the specific protocols being able to train both sides of the brain at the same time. And you know, also just, you know, some of the things that you can do with photic entrainment as well. So those are big reasons why I chose NewMind over another system

Margaret Hill: NewMind software, the brain mapping software, is entirely integrated with the NewMind Training software in that when a file is developed in the brain mapping software, it automatically integrates with the training software. Therefore I don't have to re-enter client data. I merely have to enter protocols as they change. Also, I can find each training episode in the brain mapping software. The brain mapping software also has integrated into it some very very fine the cognitive emotional checklist, the ISI, the physiology, and the cognitive testing is very very helpful and helps both my client and myself understand what will respond to brain training, neurofeedback, and what will really need to be addressed through cognitive behavioral therapy techniques.
