Speaker: Holly Grimm, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Brandywine Valley Counseling and Neurofeedback

Dr. Michael Dody: The home training units have really been a game changer because we get people off of our website from all over the country. In fact, we have somebody in New York City, somebody in Texas, and we're located in Colorado, that are doing home training with us. And that's the cool thing is we actually have that option. If they can get out here to do a brain map or if they have relatives in the area, like the person in New York City, we actually are able to, you know, give them some, you know, ability to actually do the training from a distance. And it's just been amazing to be able to offer that. So it's really opened up the ability and the potential patients that are going to be able to come in to do neurofeedback.

Holly Grimm: So although we have two technicians that work here with us at our center and we've got three rooms that are were able to run neurofeedback sessions in at once; we are still limited right by the number of sessions we can run in a week. And not to mention we have clients who are maybe college students or we live close to Delaware and Maryland and in certain areas they're just there aren't clinicians available for for clients and it would be quite a hike to come to see us. And so the home training has been really beneficial for clients. It is extremely user friendly. It walks them through what to do. And we've been able to expand our practice outside of our office. And it has both benefited us as as well as the clients.

Cathy River: We use the home user system and we have a lot of clients that do that. We have grandparents that will get it for their grandkids in different cities. Sometimes these kids come to us when they're visiting and do their QEEGs, sometimes people in the cities do them. There are people that have kids that it's really hard to drive across town or we have students that are on the bus system, so it becomes a really good thing to use. And we're very pleased with the technical support, the three way calls to get better technical support if my clients need it. It's very, very user friendly and we love it. Our clients love it and we have a lot

Jennifer Willemsen, LMFT: The home training portion of NewMind has opened up my practice to a lot more people being able to do neurofeedback. Neurofeedback is a time constraint and especially living in Los Angeles. The traffic getting to and from offices, in between work school, whatever clients may have going in their days can be challenging and quite time consuming. So offering the home training not only allows me to provide the services for my clients at discounted rates to make it more affordable, but it also makes it more feasible in terms of time for them to be able to do it because they're able to train whenever it's convenient for them at their home and then check in with me virtually, which alleviates a lot of the pressure of having to train two or three times a week. It makes that much more manageable and like I said, doing it at home allows me to cut the cost of it a little bit, which makes it more affordable for more people. So it's really opened up the amount of people and things that I can help with
