Share an overview of your featured product and why it's breaking new ground in food and beverage.
Maya Lederer: Hello, my name is Maya Lederer, and I am the R&D chef at Roland Foods. We are thrilled to be a FABI Award favorite at this year's National Restaurant Association show for our Sofrito with Aji Amarillo. Sofrito with Aji Amarillo is a cooked down combination of aromatics including onions, garlic, cilantro, as well as the trendy global pepper, the ahi Amarillo pepper. Aji Amarillo is a traditional Peruvian pepper that has a spicy, very fruity forward, and vibrant, gorgeous yellow color. This product is a great time and labor saver, being a cook down combination of all of these aromatics and also pulls back a little bit of that intense spice of the Aji Amarillo. This product is extremely versatile. It can be used as is, as an add in to soups. Stews, sauce bases, it can be blended up and used as is as a ready to use sauce or a ceviche base, and it can also be spooned into pico de gallo, guacamole, or, you know, simply used as is as a combination to chips or salsa. This product also comes in a convenient resealable packaging, which is great for the back of house, and we actually premiered this product last year at NRA and are thrilled to be a FABI Award favorite this year.
What can Show attendees expect to see and taste while onsite and where can they find your booth?
Maya Lederer: This year you can find Roland Foods at the Lakeside Center at booth number 9809. We are really excited to be sharing a sneak peek of some brand new innovation items that are going to be launching later this summer. We also for the first time are hosting a private chef's counter tasting for some special customers and continuing to show new innovation items as well as the core Roland portfolio.
Who would you like to connect with at the 2025 Show?
Maya Lederer: This year at the show, we are really looking forward to connecting with some current customers, as well as some new operators that we welcome to stop by the booth and try some of our exciting global flavors.
