Speakers: Lori Chavez, Director of Training, MRI Inc.

Lori Chavez: Hi - my name is Lori Chavez. I am the Director of Training for Mexican Restaurants Inc. here in Houston, Texas.

Lori Chavez: The training that my team completed was "Controlling Operational Costs."

What goals did you have when providing ServSucces training to your team?

Lori Chavez: A goal of mine when using ServSuccess for my team is that the content is ready to use and is current. We do have an LMS system here in our corporation. However, I am a department of one, and I don't always have the time to update everything. So, I know that with ServSuccess, I'll be able to use some of the different training material on there and still be able to provide the training needed for the employees here at MRI.

How did your team grow after taking the ServSuccess Controlling Operational Costs training?

Lori Chavez: So, here at MRI, a lot of our new management are internal promotions. So they have proven that they have leadership in them, and they definitely know their brand very well. However, as a former hourly employee, they don't have the experience of the actual business part to an operations. So "Controlling Operational Costs" was very helpful and insightful for them.

What are the benefits experienced since completing the ServSuccess training?

Lori Chavez: The content on this particular module, "Controlling Operational Costs" was very beneficial to the new members of management that took it because it's very relevant and it's very current.

What sets ServSuccess training apart compared to other trainings your team has completed?

Lori Chavez: So one thing that I really loved about this particular module with ServSuccess is how interactive it was.

Lori Chavez: So it wasn't a lot of lecture, and at the end, take a quiz, it was throughout the module that the learner had to be engaged on.

Lori Chavez: Throughout the entire module, you're constantly taking these little quizzes, or they're trying to see if the information has been retained. So you have to stay active with it.

Lori Chavez: So that was extremely helpful, whether it's new hires, new management, any level, it's all very, very helpful. So I really appreciated that!
